MODCOP is a duet with devastating melodies & instantly infectious hook lines, fusing Rock, Pop, Electronica, with a hint of Electro. “Music without Modesty” is the motto of this duo; MODCOP un-ashamedly presents its subject matter to world dripping in exquisitely prepared composition and verse.
What draws this unique partnership together, both, good humoured, free spirited & accomplished musicians in their own right (with 10 years live performance worldwide between them and over 30 produced and vocaled several multi-genre releases across the globe from various projects) is the desire to break their mould......to essentially do what they feel, offering no resistance to that desire to create infectious, alternatively rocky, feel good music & the need to express their everyday trials, tribulations and triumphs through song & verse.
VDaze, hailing originally from Paris, has produced various projects & collaborations for international artists such as Julia Messenger & Nicole Graham, and also has a background as keyboarder for a Reggae band in France. He is also a multi-instrument player (classical Piano, Guitar, Drum, Bass, Violin...)
His partner in song, melody & verse, V-Haze, of UK origin, has performed as an artist worldwide at festivals such as Pepsi Sziget (Hungary), Pohoda (Slovakia), Gile´s Peterson´s World Wide Festival (Singapore), Fusion Festival (Germany) & has written and recorded releases on Francois K´s Wave Music, Kruder & Dorfmeister´s G-Stone & Parov Stelar´s Etage Noir, amongst featuring on compilations for Universal Germany, Warner Dance/Sony Music, Universal Austria. Showing versatility in both performance and songwriting abilities

Impossible to tie down to any one genre, Mod X fuses Hip-hop, Electro, House, Dance and more into a urban and unique vision of freestylin POP MUSIC concoction of rhythms and vocals that is hard to resist. In addition to creating a new way of thinking music nowadays, his music also provides us a sensible point of view of the World we are living in.
2002's debut album “Demons & Saints” (Ice & Spice Records) was well received by radios in his native France. Advertising execs were quick to jump on board and Mod X has provided the soundtrack to international campaigns by several corporate behemoths. February 2005 saw Mod X release his first 12" vinyl “The Quest” again on Ice & Spice. With a remix from Paul Murphy (Afro Art Records), The Quest gained Mod X international recognition on the broken-beat scene.
A few months later, he released on Ice & Spice Records two new 12" releases “Picture Man” featuring Remixes from Kid Loco and a 3 months later 'Political Sun' featuring a great re-interpretation by Jon Kennedy (Grand Central/ Tru Thoughts)
At the same time, Mod X remix actions became more and more popular as he worked for many artists through the globe like Solidaze, Al Haca, Just Banks, SLS, Man in a Room, Timewarp Inc, Hain Teny, Kemo, Cayetano, Nicole Graham, Supa Dj Bobzilla…
Also, Mod X has been touring hard during the last 3 years with his band or as a Dj all over France and Europe (Greece, Belgium, Italy, Serbia, Germany…) sharing the stage with Coldcut, Kid loco, Paul Murphy, Snooba, Dj Oil, Outlines, Cayetano, Pulpalicious, Zero Db, Timewarp Inc, Dj Celine, Coppa…
That was a great and very beneficial experience for him and also to feed his music inspiration
